The new Sleater-Kinney album No Cities to Love is so, so good and has been keeping Seagull Salon warm from the icy NYC weather this month. It is great to see Corin, Janet, and Carrie back on stage delivering solid material. (When don't they do that, though?) And it was also nice to see the trio perform recently on David Letterman.
But I don't know if enough has been said about Carrie Brownstein's pant suit. Pant suits are the real focus of this blog post. Kicking her long legs covered in billowy fabric got my mind thinking about other pant suits in history.

It all makes me wonder about/long for modern examples of men wearing fashionable dresses casually. (Dress suits?) There aren't a lot of examples, though. I'm thinking of something along of the lines of Dan Stevens in the Rachel episode of "High Maintenance":
