The past month at the salon has been good to us musically!
The art and style force of nature that is singer-producer Ebony Bones came out with a follow-up EP (Milk & Honey, Pt. 1) to her album, Behold! A Pale Horse, that really shook the salon when we first heard it. Milk & Honey is decidedly more upbeat than than her previous album with a colorful funk-disco sound that makes you excited for what Ebony is up to for her upcoming album... AND you can't help but appreciate Ebony's nod to NYC with a track featuring downtown darling Lady Miss Kier!

The day Seagull muse Grimes' newest album Art Angels came out, we must have listened to it six times in a row, slowly taking in the amazing new songs Grimes herself wrote and produced. These tracks show Grimes at the top of her game---and only getting better. The vision and artistic prowess of Grimes is showing itself more and more with every new piece of work that comes out. And we are thrilled to listen to these songs on repeat.
And finally, American treasure and rap genius Missy Elliott dropped a new single and video "WTF (Where They From)" (featuring Pharrell) that just made everything better. The world is a better place when Missy is producing music. And when you listen to her new song, it makes you realize how much we've missed Missy!
Can't wait for her new album! Hopefully it will be here before we know it.
Enjoy!
